Brain Check-Up
A brain check-up, also called a memory screen, is a wellness tool that helps identify changes in memory and cognition. It is not a diagnostic tool but is sensitive enough to detect subtle changes in memory and cognition. The screenings are free, confidential, and recommended to anyone age 60 and older. The check-up also includes education on other potential causes of dementia-like symptoms, the 10 earning signs, activities for better brain health, and recommendations.
Results of the screen are faxed to your doctor with your consent. This can be a great way to keep a baseline, even if you don’t have any concerns. Contact the ADRC for more information or to set up your appointment today.
