Custody/Placement Matters:  
If parties are not in agreement to the change, and the change is regarding custody or placement orders, Eau Claire County Local Court Rules require parties to attend mediation (if it has been more than two years since any prior mediation).  

Fully Complete and file an original and one copy of a Request for Court-Ordered Mediation (Form FA-4134V) along with a Proposed Order for Mediation with Eau Claire County Clerk of Court Office.  The Court will sign the Order for Mediation, mail copies to each party, and then TRY Mediation will be in contact with both of you to arrange for a mediation session to be held via Zoom (fee may be required).  If Mediation is unsuccessful, either party may file an Order to Show Cause and Affidavit to Change to continue pursuing the matter.  

If parties are not in agreement on issues beyond custody and placement, or parties are requesting a change of venue of their case to another county in Wisconsin, either party may file an Order to Show Cause and Affidavit to Change.  Further guidance on Change of Venue requests can be found here.
