Honor Guard

The Sheriff’s Office has been involved in many Honor Guard details over the years, but a more formal Field Services Division Honor Guard was introduced in May of 2005.  A Security Services Division Honor Guard was introduced in March of 2009.   

Both divisions Honor Guard work together as a combined team under the supervision of Lieutenant Dustin Walters.  The entire Honor Guard team consists of one Lieutenant, two Sergeants,  three Deputies, and three Correctional Officers.  For all team members this is an “additional duty” that all have volunteered for.  The honor guard team is involved in a variety of duties that include posting colors at a ceremony, funeral guard, parade, representatives for memorial services, and many related events.
