Childcare certification establishes standards for childcare providers to promote the health, safety, and welfare of the children in their care. Regulation of a childcare provider assures that the home, legal background, health and physical site are within specific guidelines. Eau Claire County Department of Human Services provides child care certification for Eau Claire, Chippewa, Dunn, Pierce & Polk Counties.

Becoming a Provider

If you are interested in becoming a certified child care provider, please contact the Department of Human Services at (715) 839-6796 to speak with the Child Care Coordinator.  If you are interested in becoming a licensed child care provider please contact Department of Children and Families at (715) 836-2185.
