About the Office of Victim Services

The Office of Victim Services is a special unit within the Office of the District Attorney.  We provide information, support, and advocacy to all crime victims, witnesses, and their family members of adult and juvenile offenders.

We realize being the victim of a crime can be a very difficult time. Victim Witness Services was established in an effort to assist victims in reducing trauma that is associated with victimization.  Our goal is to provide the opportunity for crime victims to express their concerns and receive guidance throughout the court process. Victim Witness Services  believes that every victim is entitled to be treated with sensitivity, dignity, and respect. We want to address the effects of crime on victims and witnesses, empower victims, and uphold victims’ rights. We also act as a referral agency for other services victims may be in need of but are not aware of in Eau Claire County.

Victim Witness Services are provided to all crime victims and witness regardless of age, gender, sex, sexual orientation, race, color, national origin, and disability.
