Interpreters

If you need an interpreter for your court hearing/trial, you may notify the Court in one of the following ways:

Once notified of your need for an interpreter for your case, one will be scheduled for all court hearings or as directed by the Court.  You will not need to keep requesting an interpreter for your case.

The primary obligation to pay for interpreter services for qualified LEP individuals rests with the county.  The cost for providing such services will not be charged to the LEP individual.  §885.38(3)(a)

All documents and evidence filed with the Courts shall be translated into English at your own expense. §901.09 and §757.18

Interpreters will be appearing remotely via Zoom for all hearings.

Interpreters will appear in person for all trials or as directed by the Court.
