O-305 - Type 3 All-Hazards Incident Management Team

This 40 hour course serves as the introduction to the activities and processes of a Type 3 Incident Management Team (IMT), enabling them to be better prepared to support large scale or complex operations in their areas of responsibility. This course meets the needs of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the National Response Framework (NRF) and the requirements for credentialing found in the National Qualification System (NQS) and the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) for Type 3 Incident Management Teams. This course is a United States Fire Administration (USFA) course and is endorsed and excepted as a standard for Type 3 Incident Management Team Qualifications. This course is designed for those who are assigned to function in a Type 3 IMT during a large/complex incident, typically extending into multiple operational periods.   The course is designed to presents a demanding environment during simulations to create an incident management environment similar in nature to a large scale incident.

  • ICS 200: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents.
  • ICS 300: Intermediate Incident Command System.
  • ICS 400: Fundamentals Review for Command and General Staff
