Lowes Creek Ski Trails

Lowes Creek County Park is a 250 acre park located just a couple miles south of Eau Claire off S. Lowes Creek Road in the town of Washington. Lowes Creek, a trout stream which flows through the park, is spanned with a bridge giving hiking and skiing access to both sides of the creek. In addition to fishing, the park has approximately 5 miles of fitness/hiking and ski trails which are also open for mountain biking. Winter snowshoe/pet walking trails are groomed to separate these recreation uses from ski trails. A picnic shelter and pit toilets are located adjacent to the parking lot. Daily/annual vehicle entrance passes are required.

Boost Your Brain and Memory 7-Week Class

Wednesdays, August 2 - September 13, 2023 10:00 - 11:30 am Altoona Public Library 1303 Lynn Avenue, Altoona

Boost Your Brain and Memory Class is a unique program, that takes on a holistic approach to improving brain health in older adults. Participants will learn new habits to maintain cognitive health while also practicing new skills for better memory performance...and have fun! The 7-week class is free and attendance in all 7 classes is recommended. The dates include: 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, 8/23, 8/30, 9/6, 9/13. Boost Your Brain and Memory 7-week class is hosted by the ADRC and the Altoona Public Library
